Salbuurun - Traditional Kyrgyz Hunting
On May 14th, 2015 Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) is issuing its third series of stamps "Salbuurun - Traditional Kyrgyz Hunting". The series includes three stamps, representing the different stages of the flight of birds of prey: the rise, soaring through the air and prey catching.
The issue is created in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Republic Federation "Salbuurun".
Stamps description.
No. 11. 75.00 KGS. Falcon, soaring. The second stamp of the series represents a Falcon hovering in the still air and looking for a prey. In the background a typical mountain landscape of Kyrgyzstan is depicted.
No. 12. 75.00 KGS. Falcon, catching prey. At the third stamp the final phase of falconry is presented: catching the prey (a Hare).

Paper: coated, gummed, 105 g/m2.
Printing method: full-colour offset lithography.
Stamps perforation: comb 13 syncopated.
Stamps size: 68.00 х 34.00 mm.
Sheets size: 100.00 х 203.00 mm. Collective sheet size: 134.00 х 134.00 mm.
Sheets composition: Stamps are issued in sheetlets of 5 stamps and in a collective sheet of 3 stamps (1 complete set).
Quantity issued: stamps nos. 10-12 - 10 000 pieces each, including the quantity of the collective minisheet — 5 000 pieces.

Printer House: “Nova Imprim”.
A special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the Bishkek KEP Office (729002) on the stamp issuing day.
The First Day Cover and special Postmark are painted by Vladimir Melnic and designed by Olga Derej.
