On November 17th, 2017, the State Committee of Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation a souvenir sheet, which comprises three Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamps with the topic: “25 Years of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
The history of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic begins with the sovereignty gained by the State. By the Resolution of the Supreme Council of March 6, 1992, the Kyrgyz State Bank, established in 1991, was transformed into the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The objective of the National Bank is to achieve and maintain price stability through conducting appropriate monetary policy. The main tasks contributing to the achievement of the National Bank’s objectives are to maintain the purchasing power of the national currency and to ensure efficiency, security and reliability of the banking and payment systems of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to promote the country’s long-term economic growth.
The souvenir sheet is issued by the proposal and with the support of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
No. 75. 50 KGS. The image of the front side of the collection coin “Goitered gazelle. Gazella subgutturosa“ (2013).
No. 76. 100 KGS. The image of the front side of the collection coin “Bustard. Otis tarda“ (2015).
No. 77. 100 KGS. The image of the front side of the bank note with value 500 KGS (2016) and coins with values 1, 3 and 10 KGS.
On the sheet borders there is an image of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan building and the text: “25 Years of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic” in Kyrgyz, Russian and English languages. A QR-code is placed in the lower left corner.
A part of the issued quantity of souvenir sheets is included in special presentation folders.
