United Nations’ ActNow Climate Action Campaign
Newsletter no. 66.pdf
On December 15, 2020 the State Committee of Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation a Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamp: “United Nations’ ActNow Climate Action Campaign”.
Climate change is one of humanity's most pressing global challenges. The United Nations, being aware of the seriousness of this particular problem, has launched an initiative to deploy the ActNow campaign, whose main goal is to encourage people around the world to take concrete action in relation to climate change.
The campaign is being carried out mainly on the Internet and social networks (ActNow.bot). It is designed to educate and encourage individual actions by changing consumption patterns. The UN has determined ten basic actions which everybody on this planet is invited to do in daily life. The list of these actions is presented on the stamp and the coupons of Kyrgyz Express Post.
By carrying out this issue, KEP is pleased to do its part in the distribution of the ideas and goals of the global ActNow Campaign, in Kyrgyzstan and all around the world. The combined efforts of millions of people can yield significant results for the future of our planet Earth.
