On December 31, 2021 the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation a series of Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamps: "The Anniversaries of Great Personalities".
Walter Scott, 250th birth anniversary. Walter Scott (1771 - 1832) was a distinguished British writer of Scottish descent. He is considered the founder of the historical novel genre. For more than thirty years of his literary career, Walter Scott authored twenty-eight novels, nine poems as well as many stories, literary critical articles and historical works.
Johannes Kepler, 450th birth anniversary. Johannes Kepler (1571 - 1630) was a great German astronomer and mathematician. He was the first to formulate the basic laws of planetary motion in the Solar System. On the basis of planetary kinematics discovered by Johannes Kepler, Sir Isaac Newton later created the theory of gravitation.
Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, 200th birth anniversary. Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky (1821 - 1881) was an outstanding Russian writer, thinker, publicist and public figure. He is one of the most widely read writers in the world, a recognized classic of not only Russian, but also world literature.
Albrecht Dürer, 550th birth anniversary. Albrecht Dürer (1471 - 1528) was a great German painter, printmaker and graphic artist. He was a representative of the Western European Renaissance. Albrecht Dürer was one of the first to use the complicated technique of engraving on copper plates. As an art theorist, he wrote several scientific treatises on the measurement of proportions.
For this series, KEP also issues four postcards, which are used to realize four maximum cards.
