The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation the first KEP postal stationery cards.
The issue, called “My Kyrgyzstan”, includes four postal cards, depicting some of the typical features of Kyrgyzstan: the country’s wonderful sceneries, it’s historical and cultural heritage, and of course, the capital - Bishkek.
The front sides of all postal cards have a typographically printed original stamp, which depicts the geographical map of Kyrgyzstan, the face value (the letter “A”, which equals to mailing a standard international post card) and the KEP logo. The reverse sides have the following illustrations:
1. The view of the Ala-Too Square with the Aykol Manas Monument and the State Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic. Photo by A. Sorokin.
2. Burana Tower, the remarkable Cultural Heritage of the 11th century. Photo by A. Sorokin.
3. Mountain Lake Issyk-Kul. Photo by A. Novoselov.
4. The Tian Shan Mountains, Kyrgyzstan. Photo by M. Knitl.
On the issuing day an event will be held at the KEP office, where postal cards “My Kyrgyzstan” will be canceled with a special first day postmark.
We hope that the new KEP products will attract attention of philatelists, as well as of many international tourists, who are visiting our country.
The postal cards are printed at the «Adver Group» printing house, Bishkek.
